Question USB cell modem, sharing?

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the right forum for my question, but here goes.

We recently got a USB Novatel cell modem from Verizon, and access the internet via EVDO Rev A connection, which is awesome, and much better than the dial up we had forever. What I would like to do now is share this connection with antother computer in my house.
I went to Circuit City and asked the guy there, and he said it can't be done, but he wasn't really sure, and to ask the Verizon guy. He said I had to have another modem and account for the 2nd pc! (I think they just want to charge another 60.00 per month!) I know this can be done, I'm just not sure how, so any advice you can give will be appreciated!

Thanks, Sue :)

Re: USB cell modem, sharing?

Can't be done ..pfff ... another 60.00 per month ..pfff ..

You should purchase a router that will allow the connection of the USB Internet service (with a wireless option for your PC's would be nice and flexible)

This would then allow you to connect all your PC's through the router and make use of the single Internet connection.

A google or feedback from other members would get you a decent model .. good luck ..

Re: USB cell modem, sharing?

Here is a good example of what i am referring to (albeit an old model, but it gives a good diagram also)
