Re: Can't connect to the Internet with Netgear RP614v3 Router
I also have a Netgear RP614v3. Ijust bought it and got it all setup took forever to do, managed to get it to connect to the modem to internet and worked fine for 30 minutes then I lost connection. I have tried everything that their techs have told me (which has been the exact same thing just worded differently five times) then get told by the tech to call the voice support (which since mine is a refurbished unit would cost me $66) only to be told the same thing but I can connect just fine when the router isn't hooked up. I have tried mac spoofing and setting up the ip and now i cant even ping the router or login to the router to set it up.

Re: Can't connect to the Internet with Netgear RP614v3 Router
Reset the router to factory defaults by holding the reset button down for 15 seconds with power on.
When the computer is completely booted, let's see this. Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt: Type the following command: IPCONFIG /ALL Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter. Paste the results in a message here. If you are on a machine with no network connection, use a floppy, USB disk, or a CD-RW disk to transfer a text file with the information to allow pasting it here.

Re: Can't connect to the Internet with Netgear RP614v3 Router
This appears to be a good connection, it this the direct modem connection? If so, I see a possible problem. This is a modem/router, and may be conflicting with the Netgear. How about the exact make and model of the broadband modem.

Re: Can't connect to the Internet with Netgear RP614v3 Router
the ipconfig/all was with the router hooked up. as far as i know its just a straight cable modem but heres the model number Motorola SB5101 it has a usb jack on the back but you cant use the usb as well as the Ethernet link on the modem.

Re: Can't connect to the Internet with Netgear RP614v3 Router
Well, that looked like a good connection. Since you can connect directly to the modem, if this still doesn't get a connection, it just about has to be the cable or the router that's the issue.
How about an IPCONFIG /ALL connected directly to the modem?

Re: Can't connect to the Internet with Netgear RP614v3 Router
Well, I agree with the analysis that the router is probably dead, we were down to the cable or the router already.
