Question on server routing

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this but here goes.

On October 14th a website that I go to to read articles posted that the site would be migrating to a new server due to increased traffic. Ever since that day whenever I click on my link to go to that site I come to the same index from that day. At first I thought that there was some delay in switching over and that the site was not updated. But I soon realized that at 4:00 EST I could click on the link and the site was updated to that days index. But the next day when clicking the link I was taken back to the Oct. 14th index with the article about the site moving.

I have 7 computers here at my business and they all have the same result. Even so I have dumped cookies and various other housekeeping chores to see if that could be the problem. I am thinking that it has something to do with the routing through the internet and I would love to have some input on the process if someone here has some thoughts! Thanks!

This could possibly be due to a delayed or improper DNS registration. In layman's terms, the record on whichever DNS servers are looking up the named URL are coming up with the wrong/old IP address for the web server. It can take a few days for the new DNS record to be handed out to the various DNS servers at your business, ISP and the Internet.

The problem with getting the "old" web page with the Oct. 14th migration post is most likely due to web caching either at your business or your ISP. Long story short, your business' web cache server or ISP's is holding onto an old cached version of the website and isn't getting a new one.

So what to do? At your business' end if you have authorized access would be to remove the old DNS record and cached pages of the website on your workstations and the server. This will force computers to send queries for new copies of the DNS records and website pages, which may fix the problem.

I have cleared the cache in Mozilla with no effect. I neglected to mention that the problem is identical when using Internet Explorer.

Could you please tell me how to clear the DNS record? I do have full administrative access to my computers on the network.
