TCP/IP reached security limit Message
I checked the event viewer and I saw this message, "TCP/IP has reached the security limit".
I seet his message almost every day. What's causing this? |

XP SP2 has a set limit on the number of concurrent incomplete outbound TCP connection attempts to (somewhat dubiously) mitigate the potential spread of worms. While this can be caused sometimes by using things like P2P, it can also be a sign of an infection on your system by a worm that is trying to spread and infect other systems (possibly at random).
Just to be sure it is not something malicious, you should scan your computer for viruses and other assorted malware. Kaspersky's Online Scanner is quite thorough, and running your system through a scan would be a good idea. |
