My router wont hold a connection, please help

Hello, everyone. I recently purchased an Ativa G Wireless router. I went through the easy set-up on the disk that came with the router, but it could not connect to the internet. So I went through it again, this time power cycling the modem and router, and the connection was found. What bothered me though was that the modem and internet lights on the router were blinking. After about ten minutes, the modem light began to flash faster and the internet light went out and the connnection was lost. I tried everything I knew how to do and called Ativa and Comcast tech support (who weren't too helpful). If you have any ideas and would like to share them, I would greatly appreciate it.

Re: My router wont hold a connection, please help

Reset the router to factory defaults, download and install the latest firmware for the router. See if that helps.

Thanks, but I tried that and it didn't work. Everyone I've talked to thinks the router broken, and I agree. I've already returned it. Thanks anyway.
