[SOLVED] Ping WEIRD question

Why I can't ping many websites to test connectivity,
I can do fine yahoo.com which is the one I would use,
but many others 70% maybe, I can't.. WHY?

Because many sites block PING. eBay, IBM, etc. for instance.
