Help with remote broadcasting

We are trying to connect with a computer in another state so that we can do a live music broadcast. We are told we need to open a port in the visionnet router. We have no idea how to do that. Is anyone here familiar with this type of thing? The people we are trying to do this with have no problems at all, but for some reason we cannot make it work here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Help with remote broadcasting

www.portforward.com should be able to lead you through opening ports on most routers.
