Hi,
Let me see if I understand your question. When you say you have wireless, is that a pc, laptop or router? If it is a pc or laptop you will need a wireless router if you are wanting to access the internet wirelessly.

Re: windows xp internet connection quesion

When I connect using wireless it works fine, but when I plugged the ethernet cable into it internet going down. By default it is checking lan port to launch websites. how can I make it to work only using only wireless.

Re: windows xp internet connection quesion

I'm sorry, I am not trying to be rude but I am not understanding. If the wireless is working fine, and you want to use the wireless, why plug the ethernet cable in at all, if that is what is causing the issues? I am headed home, and have to go to a meeting from there, but I will try to check back before I go to bed tonight.

Re: windows xp internet connection quesion

Why not start with the make/model of the broadband modem, router, and the wireless adapter on the machine in question.

I'm also having trouble figuring out what you're trying to do.

Re: windows xp internet connection quesion

The crossover is going from your linux box to what? The modem, or another pc?

My advice is to buy your own Internet access, not steal it from your neighbor. The post is closed.
