What happened?

I have a netgear router, wireless pci adapter and 2 questions.

1)Every time I open opera, I connect to TSF (TSF is homepage) but I get a generic server error to juno.com, my email account - I close the error box, hit check/send (email) and email is downloaded as it does when connected by Ethernet.

2)More important – Today when I connected I received a server not found error to TSF. Tried release/renew, repair in network connections, disabled ZA, rebooted modem and router – no luck. Could connect by Ethernet to modem. Still could not connect to net through router. Opened router configuration, looked at basic settings, did not change anything, hit the test connection button and went back online. IP address was 169.254.78.194 when not connected. Is there an explanation for what happened?

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2.

For these commands, Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt.

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log
