Cannot connect to Router from formatted drive

I have a NETGEAR DG834GT wireless modem router running my Desktop PC and a Laptop. It has been running fine for months but yesterday I formatted my main drive on my Desktop and ever since I can't connect to my router from it.

I have put the CD in I got with the router but it just will not connect to the router. I have reset the router and am able to connect to it from the Laptop over wireless.

In the Network Connections box there is only a 1394 connection in the LAN High Speed Internet group.

The manual says to type 192.168.0.1 in Internet Explorer to connect which works fine on the Laptop but not on the desktop. Anyone any ideas?

You didn't install the drivers for the motherboard and/or the drivers for the network adapter.
