VPN teething problems
I have recently had Cisco VPN client installed on my laptop.
After connecting to my work's network from home via VPN, on return to work I had problems with my ethernet network access. Access to the file servers was fine, but exchange server issued an 'unable to connect' error, & I was unable to access internet or MS Outlook. The IP address the connection was using was not within the designated range (employer operates fixed IP addresses). Later in the day, without any reconfiguring, rebooting etc., the connection mysteriously cured itself and Outlook & internet service is now fine, IP address had reset within the designated range. Can anyone throw any light on how this is possible? |
