Rerouting ports
Hi,
I work through a router at home that blocks certain ports. Is there any way I could reroute these ports to other ones (such as have everything that goes into to port X or out of port X go to port Y instead) without changing router settings? If I don't understand something in the process or you need anymore information, let me know. I'm not 100% sure which ports are closed up, but I know (a) which ones I would like to reroute, and (b) that, for example, my computer cannot ping any addresses (so the port through which that information goes is clogged up too). Thanks! Last edited by dimochka; 08-27-2006 at 02:14 PM. |

Why not just reconfigure the router to allow those ports through?

My dad blocked those ports for a reason - to not allow me to connect to a game I'm helping a friend with. However, he said that if I figure out how to do this, he's ok with it. So I spent the better part of the week figuring out ways.
Currently, I have this working: I connect through a putty to my school's server and run port 443 as dynamic. Then I am able to connect. However, I'm trying to find a more efficient way, either one requiring some programming or an already-completed program that allows rerouting one port to another. |
