can't browse

Ok, this is a tough one. I can :

1.get online in safe mode
2.ping outside in normal mode
3.access the web server of my router in normal mode
4.***cannot browse online in normal mode***

I have run spybot, adaware, avg, stinger, cleaned hijackthis, run winsockfix, and still nothing.

hi..try to disable all your internet security applications..go to msconfig in the run field,dis able all the start up items..btw,what is the maker of your router?

TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2.

For these commands, Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt.

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log
