over heating?

im on a wireless connection, and sometimes it disconnects. when i go to the room with the router and pick it up to reset it (ive tryed everything else. it doesnt work) it is REALLY hot. when i reset it , it will work for a while. the compter that is directly connected wont even get enet, and it wont connect to router. wut is happeneing? where it was on the desk is also really hot

I'd start by directing a small fan directly on the router to provide cooling. If that solves the problem, you need to address the overheating issue. Does the router have a fan? Is it running?

ye thts just wat i had with my mboard i bought a cheep and cheerful heater/fan and now i never have a problem had to cut a hole on the bottom croner of my tower though *crys*
