Must computer be connected to router
It seems that all instructions for installing a wireless network in the home is predicated on the router being connected to a (base) computer. Can one create a wireless network with the telephone line(DSL) being connected to the modem and the modem connected to the router in a central location in the house about 30 feet equidistant(different rooms) from several desktops?
Have tried to search the forum but don't find this question. tks in advance for guidance. |

No, you don't need one computer connected to the router for the wireless to work. But any changes you make to the Wireless configuration of the router should be done directly connected to the router with a patch cable.
