internet icon has disappeared
Hi
I have a laptop running a wireless connection from a neighbour, absolutely no problems. From the laptop, I've networked my desk top in via crossover cable and enabled the internet sharing etc. Everything works, internet, share files etc, however a curious matter, when working on my destop, I've had in the past the two icons, "Lan" and internet" on my taskbar. Now although everything is fine, internet, share files etc, the "internet" icon has disappeared, when I go to network connections, it's not even showing as a connection, the "Lan" is though, so I can't even click on "show icon in taskbar etc. I even get to see the two comps in "my network places" like I said everything works fine, any ideas?, quite perplexed, both are running xp Kind regards |
