I'm new to sharing internet. I'm running Windows XP Home on my Desktop PC and my laptop. I have two network cards in my pc and one in my laptop. One network card in the pc is used to access my broadband modem and the other is used to network to my laptop. I can get the network running with a crossover cable, but I don't know how to configure the Internet, any help would be much appreciated.

You could use ICS.
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp_ics/ But your best be would be to get a router. Inexpensive and a good hardware firewall solution for around $25 |
