Internet connection drops out

Dear all,

I have a problem with my network connection. I have a 1760 Cisco Router connected to 3COM 2250 baseline plus switch, with more than 30 workstation computers, Using windows XP professional services pack 2.
I’m using static IP address for every computer. My problem is that the internet connection on some computer drops out at a certain time, and I have to change IP address, then it starts working again

I needed some help from someone who had the same problem before or who is very knowledge about computer/networking and knows how to fix it.

Did you ever resolve this? I'm curious because I have a 3Com dropping PCs off the network.
