Proxy Problem Please Help
i have a computer which has internet connection configured thus
ip:172.16.52.48 gateway:172.16.251.251 DNS server: 172.16.251.251 i have another network card on the same comp which i have configured thus ip:172.16.52.49 i have connected my laptop to this network card my laptop is configured thus ip:172.16.52.50 My laptop cannot ping the network card having internet connection but can ping the network card to which it is connected that is 172.16.52.49 So how do i share my internet connection to my laptop using analogx proxyi or any other application. |

yes suppose i use 192.16.52.1 and 192.16.52.2 for my other network card and laptop.
then what do i do. how do i share the connection computer: local area connection 1: ip:172.16.52.48 gateway:172.16.251.251 dns server: 172.16.251.251 local area connection 2: ip:192.16.52.1 laptop: local area connection 1 : ip:192.16.52.2 i want net in the laptop how?? please explain |

It appears that you're trying to set up Internet Connection Sharing. Is the broadband modem connected directly to the one computer?
I'd suggest a broadband router if that's the case, much easier to live with.

It can be done without routers, a router just makes is MUCH easier to do, not to mention it's easier to configure and keep running.
