Netgear language fix

I just bought a new Netgear and the install disk was in German. Contacted Netgear who sent me a patch and advised to install it and then upgrade the firmware.
Struggled through the firmware upgrade which was still in German until eventually I got the admin panel into English. All is ok now, but a friend of mine in the States got a disk in Chinese. Seems Netgear still has ongoing problems.
