A Sort of Networking question..
I'm not sure where I should have posted this, or if it's even possible.
My question is this. Is there any software that allows for the creation of a virtual lan? For example, I'd like to be able to play games with my friend, and have him be able to access my files and vice versa. I really don't know if this is possible, or even what it is really if it is. Thanks in advance. |

VPN (Virtual Private Network) software is what you are referring to. Usually you need a special router that supports VPN and some routers require you purchase a separate VPN software module to access the VPN. Usually around $50 for the VPN module.
