Bluetooth adapter problem

Hi,

I wasn't sure which section this problem applies to, if this message has been posted in the wrong section please accept my aplogies.

I have a Belkin F8T008uk USB Bluetooth adapter which is not working on my main computer A fujitsu siemens Amilo M laptop:
- 1.7 Ghz centrino processor
- 512MB ram
- SCSI HDD
- Windows XP Pro with SP2 and fully updated on windows update
- MS Bluetooth stack installed

The adapter works fine on 2 other computers with either the bundled software or the windows drivers. However, on the fujitsu both drivers install ok, and device manager reports no problems, but no devices can be found. Using the windows drivers the search times out. Using the belkin drivers an error message along the lines of 'unable to start the device' is recieved. I've tried downloading the latest drivers from belkin but the same problem occured.

I have tried searching with all firewall software turned off.

Also, when i try to remove the drivers for the device, the process freezes and needs to be ended by windows. Only one of the drivers appears when in safe mode so i can't remove them that way. So my normal procedure of erradicating all traces of the device and starting over has proved difficult.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
