Transfer files between 2 computers

We have an old computer with pictures that we would like to transfer to our new computer can we connect the 2 and transfer them? If so how, if not what do you suggest?

Simplest way is to use CDRW and burn the pictures to CD then transfer. Assuming your computer has USB, you could use a USB flash drive.

CD-Rom only

the old computer has the cd-rom and floppy drive, no cdrw. is there a way to connect them and transfer that way? If not then how?

If both computers have Ethernet cards, you should try using a crossover cable. If not, then a serial cable will most certainly work.
