I had a DSL homeplug network which used to work fine
(I got 140kb/s, nearly maximizing my connection ) on a client machine with a P4 1.8ghz running Windows xp pro until I upgraded my computer to a Athlon 64 3000+ with an Abit nforce3 nf-8 motherboard and a clean install of win xp pro. Nothing else changed, yet now I'm only getting 20kb/s. The host computer still gets 160kb/s and the client also does, if I connect it directly though ethernet . I'm thinking it may have to do with the nforce 3 motherboard and it's networking controller/hardware networking that are limiting my download speed for some reason. Though I can't figure out why (if it is) , or how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. |
