All of my ports are closed (not stealthed)

I recently moved into a condo for the winter and have been having some trouble getting everything up and running properly. I can connect to the internet fine, but all of my ports (except for a select few) are closed.

I have no antivirus or antispyware software installed and I have disabled windows firewall. Other computers on my network have the same problem, so I know it's not my computer.

Also, this problem persists even when I hardwire directly through the modem, so it's not a router problem.

I have verizon high speed (I know, it's terrible), do they have a history of blocking ports?

I ran a port scan on www.grc.com and it says, out of my first 1056 ports, only port 22 is open.

What gives?

What is the exact make/model of the "modem"? My guess is you have a modem/router, and that's where the ports are blocked.

Re: All of my ports are closed (not stealthed)

I solved my own problem, thanks though.

It turns out that our internet goes through a third party then to our building, and the third party blocks ports for security reasons.
