Port Forwarding with 2 Routers?
Hi, I have an Arris TM502G Model Modem that connects to a Grandstream HT502 (VoIP hardware router), which is then connected to a Linksys WRT54GL router.
I'm connected by ethernet to the Linksys, and a game of mine is completely unplayable, which I've come to the conclusion needs ports to be forwarded. The ports in question are 5063, 7101-7103 Could someone please, PLEASE, show me a step by step processes to do this? |

Re: Port Forwarding with 2 Routers?
Simple.
Connedt the Grandstream VoIP unit to one of the LAN ports of the Linksys and connect the Linksys directly to the modem. I've always run my VoIP adapters from my router, and the VoIP works just fine. This also eliminates the dual router issue.

Quote:
After making the changes you suggested, my network connections folder had "Local Area Connection 4" connected (normal) But also a "Internet Connection" disabled (not normal). After that.. I totally unplugged the VoIP router and just left the linksys connected to the modem, with my comp still connected to the linksys. Trying to access web pages still returned a "cannot find server".. I'm not sure what the issue is. DHCP is on, and my comp is set to obtain IP automatically.. What could be the issue here? Any ideas?.. |

Re: Port Forwarding with 2 Routers?
You MUST power cycle the modem when you make any change to the attached device.
