Disabling intergrated 1394 have anything to do with a PCI wireless card?

I recieved message on boot that says "1394 guids are invalid in both cmos and flash press f1 to continue" so i carry on with the boot, when i try to connect to the internet using a PCI wireless N card it doesnt work so i went to the bios and disabled the onboard 1394 and tried to connect, it didnt work. So i am wondering if disabling the 1394 or the error message had anything to do with the card not working.

Not directly, but the fact you're getting an oddball error may indicate other issues in the Windows configuration.

Can you connect using a wired connection?

i havent tried yet since my router is in the living room and the pc is in my room, can you tell me what kind of system config could affect my wireless card?

Many things, that's why I suggest trying a wired connection as a test. Surely the machine isn't so heavy that you can carry it closer to the router for a test, right?

okay i tried the ethernet and it worked. but the wireless still isnt working :(

Did you try resetting the computer's BIOS to factory defaults?

Yes, i've gone into the bios and reset all the settings to default but that didn't work so i pressed the clear CMOS button on my motherboard and that seemed to fix it, everything works now. Thanks a lot :)
