Hello,

Are you connected via wireless and wired?? --If so, make sure you don't have an Ethernet cable plugged into your machine if you are connected via Wireless. I have seen in the past if your connected via wireless and wired, you ARE going to run into problems. Currently, from what I see your computer has IP addresses: 192.168.0.191--wired and 192.168.0.193--wireless JeKyL |

Re: New Laptop loose connectivity
If the wireless signal falls off very quickly with distance, I'd suspect this is a problem with the wireless hardware. Either the adapter is bad, or one or both of the antenna leads has become disconnected. Take the battery out and open the door on the bottom for the wireless and check if the card is properly seated and the antenna leads are connected.

Re: New Laptop loose connectivity
Also, can other computers connect to the wireless network with no problems??
--If so try the following: Here is something else to check after checking what Johnwill suggested you do....I have used D-link routers for years and they have a "Transmit Power" Setting in the firmware. when in the routers UI go to--> Advanced Tab--> then on the left there is an advanced wireless button--> click on that and you will see the transmit power--make sure it is set to high.
