WiFi signal to home ethernet wired network
In our condominium association we have a WiFi signal available to all homeowners who can capture it. I have a 3 computer home network connected via ethernet cable through a LinkSys RT31P2 Broadband Router. This router is also used to Provide Vonage VOIP telephone service. Ethernet wiring was the option chosen as our home is a 3 story of blockwall construction with every cell filled with rebar and concrete.
To capture the WiFi signal I purchased an OD24-12 12dBi 2.4 GHz Omnidirectional antenna with an N Fem integrated connector. I also purchased 25 Ft of Belden 9913/LMR-400 Sized cable with the Reverse Polarity TNC Plug to the N Style plug. This is what I plan to bring the WiFi Signal into the home. Now, I am totally in the dark as to how to connect the WiFi signal into the network earlier described. There are many devices tha bring WiFi signals via a USB but how can I get it into my router via ethernet? Thanx for any and all help rendered. Regards Bob Hurley |

Re: WiFi signal to home ethernet wired network
You need a wireless bridge product to connect the wireless signal to your Ethernet connected router.

Re: WiFi signal to home ethernet wired network
He could if he's a masochist. ICS requires you have the host computer on all the time, exacts a significant performance penalty in most cases, in general is somewhat of a PITA.
