Re: Wireless router

Connect with a wired connection to the router and set the encryption key to something you do know.

Re: Wireless router

Start by reading the router's manual, it has pretty clear setup instructions. The base address for IE to access the router's setup is 192.168.1.1 for that router.

Re: Wireless router

I don't know where the manual is. I seem to have lost all material including the box it came in, the notes I took when I installed it. I am completely in the dark.

Re: Wireless router

Don't worry...
Please follow the steps provided in the below link.
http://www.ezinstructions.com/wrt54gsetup.html

You can also directly jump to the "Wireless security" tab and change the Encryption key under "WPA Shared Key" (The password should be at least 8 characters and should not contain weird characters such as $ % ^ & * #, it can be alpha-numeric though).

Please copy-paste the below link to a new browser to get the Router manual:
http://downloads.linksysbycisco.com/...1_UG_C-Web.pdf

Thanks & Regards(**,)
