I have 2 different IPs?
Hi,
In my campus, I usually play games with my friends from other buildings. Last month, my friend can connect to my server using 10.1.50.48 (my original ip, for example). But now if other building wants to connect to my server, they have to use another IP, 10.1.51.90 (for example). So those who are staying at the same building with me, can use 10.1.50.48, and others will have to use 10.1.51.90. I thought this is the new system, but my other friend (who are staying at the same building with me), can use only 1 IP to let his friends connected to him, while I still need 2 IPs to let my friends from outside my block to connect with me. I already try to change my OS to linux (I thought my OS was gone wrong), but still it doesn't work. Anyone can explain me what happen? And what I should do to have only 1 IP?. Sorry for my bad english. Thanks. Last edited by kecebongsoft; 10-17-2009 at 03:04 AM. |

Re: I have 2 different IPs?
actually in our network, we also have local file sharing (dc++), I realize my second IP when I see my IP in dc++ is different (10.1.51.90) from my original IP (10.1.50.48).
Then once I try that second IP, it works, it can make my friends from other building connect to me. I have no idea how this second IP came out :( |
