internet cuts out
My computer will not allow me open new internet-based programs, such as a browser or game, after I have been connected for around 30 minutes. If I had programs open prior to the drop-out, those programs will continue just fine. However, as soon as I, say, go to a new web-page, the browser ceases to work. If I join a new channel in an irc client, it won't connect. Channels I am already in will continue to work fine.
Im running off of an ethernet connection going through a Belkin F5D8236-4 v2 N router. No one else on my network is encountering this problem, which leads me to believe it is something to do with my computer specifically. Using ipconfig /release and /renew works to fix the problem in the short term, but again after 30 minutes, it drops out again. I'd like to find a fix that works permanently. |
