Usb help!!

Hello everyone, I need some help with my usb adapter. I was given a PC by a friend and after getting it all set up and turning it on it didn't have a network card. I have a usb adapter(Netgear WNP111) for some time now and haven't used it in a long time so my cd for it is misplaced. So i was wondering how would i go about transporting the software from a computer with internet to my computer? will it affect the computer i download the software from at all?

-Thanks

Re: Usb help!!

and welcome to the Forum

You can download the drivers from the Netgear support site.

http://kb.netgear.com/app/

I could not find that model number, but I did find this:

Re: Usb help!!

Download the file ande save it to a folder you can keep for the next time you might need it. Remove the Network Adaptor and double click the driver file to run the installation program. It will tell you when to insert the adaptor again.

Re: Usb help!!

I think it is the usb adapter, the light doesnt light up but when i plug it in it makes that sound. I restarted it and it reconizes as a new program but when i click netgear wizard it shows up for a second and disappears.
