Router Drops Conncenction when Port Forewarding is Enabled
Hi guys, I'm having a network problem I'm hoping you can help me with. I have a pretty simple network, just one wired router connected to the modem. And it works fine almost all of the time. But whenever I enable port forewarding, the connection will occasionally drop and I'll get the message "a local area network cable has been unplugged."
It happenes on average about once per minute and drops the connection for 2-10 seconds. It doesn't seem to matter which ports are being forewarded or to where, the problem occurs when any type of port forewarding is enabled. So far I have tried: Making sure nothing is actually coming unplugged. Upgrading the firmware. Switching the ports used on the router. Changing the media type setting from auto to all other possibilities. But none of those have fixed the problem. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me with this. |
