Strange Disconnections
Hi Guys
I have a Dlink wireless router which I am using to connect my laptop wirelessly to the internet. There is no issue with this (I can be connected for many hours with no problems) however and I know this is going to sound strange but when my girlfriend comes over the internet disconnects and the wireless signal is lost. At first I thought this must be a coincidence but I have had her come in and go out many times and without fail it will always discconnect. I have even had her come in without her mobile phones, car keys etc but the issue still happens. I am at a loss of what could cause this and wondered if anyone has any ideas? or heard of anything liek this happening before? ![]() Thanks Adam |

Re: Strange Disconnections
I'm a nooby but maybe it is something inside of her. Has she ever gotten something placed inside of her for a surgery? Something like metal plates or teeth or something. Maybe she takes some pill that would do this. That is very strange.
Maybe it means that you're not suppose to be on the internet when she is over, you're suppose to be with her, hehe. |

Re: Strange Disconnections
Hi Adam,
Have you tried changing the channel in the router? In addition, download and install Xirrus Wifi Inspector, and take note of other networks that are in range and what channel/freqency they are using. Then try changing the channel in the router so it doesn't conflict with the other networks. EDIT: Is it your computer that disconnects when she comes over? If so, maybe she has an ipod or a different wireless device(s) that may be interfering with the signal.
