Internet/Home Network problem
Hello, I'm helping my friend out who is having trouble connecting her laptop to the internet. Her PS3 is connected and I'm in contact with her via the PS3.
She had been using Verizon DSL for a while until a billing problem interrupted the service. She then switched to Cablevision cable internet and bought a NetGear WNR2000 router. This seemed to install fine and the PS3 connects to it no problem. However, the problem arises when she tries to connect her laptop to it. She bought a TRENDnet TU2-ET100 (USB Ethernet adapter) and used that to connect her laptop to the router. Her laptop recognises the router and the ethernet adapter, and it says that it's connected and everything appears to be connected fine. When she tries to access anything which requires internet, it appears to have no connection. She has tried numerous times resetting her router and cable modem and it doesn't help. |
