Intel(R)Proset/wireless and WZC Service

Hi,

I have a HP/Compaq tc2200 tablet running Windows XP SP3.

At rest half my CPU is taken up by ZCfgSvc.exe and S24EvMon.exe when I am using the built in wireless connection to my router.

I have searched on Google and it seems there may be memory leaks or just slow and greedy apps.

I did a repair of the Intel proset/wireless which is on the laptop.
This needed WZC Service to be restarted after.

Should I be using WZC Service or the proset/wireless or do I have to run both.

I find in general WSC Service has to be enabled for laptop wireless connections to run when looking at friends lack of wireless connections.

Is there anything I can do?

Driver Detective shows quiet a few drivers need updating is it safe to update these?

The Intel(R) PRO/wireless 2200BG Network... driver shows as being up to date.
Some people have posted problems with newer G routers which I now have.
One person had a HW update from HP to cure his problem on G.

Cheers. Andrew.
