No Infrastructure on Wireless Adapter
I can 'not' change my wireless from ad-hoc to infrastructure mode. That choice is missing in 'adapter properties/configure/advanced'. I run an infrastructure home network and this is only happening on 1 laptop out of three. The other 2 laptops connect to the network and internet w/ no problems. This laptop will only connect locally(no internet). I have benn running this laptop for at least 2 years without a problem.
Laptop is running Vista home Premium, wireless adapter is an Intel Pro wireless 3945abg.. I tried the newest driver, deleting the adapter in device manager to no avail.. I have never seen this happen before, any thoughts would be very much appreciated.. I have read a few other threads that sound like they have the same problem and maybe not realize it, but I'm just guessing..Thank you |
