Mobile Broadband

I must be suffering from Google Block as I cannot find the information I am looking for.

I want to learn about 3G (and the upgrade HSDPA) and Wimax. How these technologies can be used to access the web and make phone calls. I want technical information and not just the overview offered on websites by service providers.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can point me towards some good resources.
