Internet gets real slow after awhile.
After awhile, my internet gets real slow to the point of barely even working at all. But I reset the power on the router, and the speed gets normal again, yet slowly getting slower.
I have a linksys WRT54GS v6, with firmware DD-WRT v23 SP2 (09/15/06) micro. I'm wired. This problem might or not be cause by the router, but anyone have an idea what might cause this? |

Re: Internet gets real slow after awhile.
You may want to start by upgrading to a more recent release.
http://www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/dd-wrt/hardware.html There are a lot of other things that can cause slow-downs including low memory, running out of disk space, and malware. Since resetting the modem restores your speed, I would start with that. |
