PS3 - internet sharing - can't connect

I'm a tech newbie.

Recently bought PS3. I already have my laptop(Windows XP) that wirelessly connects to my wireless router. I have enabled internet sharing on my laptop, however i cannot wirelessly connect my PS3 when my laptop is on. Must one always be connected directly to the router via ethernet cable? or can both connect wirelessly at the same time?

Thanks

If this was asked already can someone direct me to the topic b/c i couldn't find one that relates specifically to my question

Re: PS3 - internet sharing - can't connect

jayknicks - you should be able to connect your laptop and PS3 wirelessly at the same time without the internet sharing.

What is the make/model of your router?

Re: PS3 - internet sharing - can't connect

Hi

I have a Belkin Wireless N Router - F5D8236-4 v3.
I know for the PS3 you have to open specific TCP/UDP ports which I have already done.

Thanks
