IP Address Conflic Now No Cable Connected???
Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone can help me with this problem.
I have been connected to a wireless 4 computer network for a month with no problems. I am connected to it via a Solwise Homeplug again with no previous problems. Yesterday an error message came up saying there was an IP address conflict. Since then I have not been ableto connect to the internet. I tried to find out what the IP address was on my computer to change it but when I look at ipconfig instead of displaying it it says 'media disconnected' Also when I look into my internet connection it displays as network cable not connected and there is no light in the port where the cable connects to the computer (there is usually). If anyone has any ideas, advice please let me know. If you need anymore info ill be happy to give it. Thanks. |

Re: IP Address Conflic Now No Cable Connected???
You may try uninstalling the network device from Device Manager. Right click My computer, select hardware then Device Manager and find Network Adapter, uninstall the driver then restart your computer. Your computer should find the driver and install it for you but in case do you have the network driver for it on a CD?
As soon as computer booted up completely try connecting to the internet. Pls. let me know.
