accessing online journal from home

they are certain online journals that can only be access thru my university computers.

Sometimes, I would like to access it from the convenience of my dorm in doing my research.

Currently, I m able to do so using this software called Logmein but I wouldnt want to disrupt the user currently using that computer that Im accessing.

are there any better alternative for me to do so? Im thinking of setting up the computer as a proxy or something but how? all the computers are behind router and firewall.

please advice, thx in advance, much appreciated.

p/s: this is, i am doing strictly for education purpose only, and if in any event, u guys consider this as "hacking", then please remove this thread.

Hello, I don't know if there are certian Universities that will allow their students to do Remote Access thru Terminal Server or VPN, you'll have to inquire in your school's IS or IT Dept regarding their policies, Remote Access will require a user ID and a password. Give it a try. Hope this helps.
