network transfer speed vastly different depending on start point

I got 2 computers on a gigabyte network, and I use the network to copy files over. My problem is that transferring from 1 computer [a] to the other computer [b] is fast, whereas transferring from computer [b] back to computer [a] is slow.

Both PCs have raid0 drives, and each of their read/write speeds are sufficiently fast. I tested this by copying a large file from each pc to itself.

I used this utility to test transfer speeds from one end to the other, and it verifies my claims: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network...-Utility.shtml

I've updated the drivers and everything too; I'm running out of ideas!

Hi, is the write-back cache enabled on the drives? others do not recommend this on a RAID0 and works way better in RAID5, but you may give it a try, it'll help seed up the transfer rate. Let me know.
