There is problem with my ZTE ZXDSL831II router.. Need Help!!

I have a 1.5Mb broadband connection using ZTE ZXDSL831II router. It worked pretty fine for the first 5-6 months. Now I'm facing problem in connecting to net. When i go to ZTE router page (192.168.1.1) it says " Your DSL Router is not ready to connect to Internet. Status: Down.

But after a lot of reboot and re-configuration i get connected, like i am right now, but the internet speed is very low, right now its running on 267Kb instead of 1533Kb. It rarely gets to the original 1533Kb speed.

I had faced the similar problem a month ago and it lasted for only 2 weeks then it was sorted out by itself, don't know how.

Can anybody advise what could have gone wrong here?

I would start by calling your ISP.
