Rebooted laptop now NO WIRELESS CONNECTION AT ALL
okay my laptop showed a blue screen of death and so i decided to insert the recovery CD, went through the whole process but the system recovery (with the little sand time capsule) kept turning for a long time, it annoyed me so i decided to just turn off my laptop but it took such a long time for it to shut down so i pressed down on the off button long until it turned off.
Now my laptop shows absolutely no wireless connection!!!! When i search the wireless lan area it says turn on wireless device but it is already on, originally my laptop automatically connected to the router of my home computer and now it cannot connect to the internet completely because it keeps saying turn on wireless deivce on yet it is i believe, what do i do? There is no indication of a wireless connection option....PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

Re: Rebooted laptop now NO WIRELESS CONNECTION AT ALL
It is not good to shut down your computer while it's doing a recovery, you need to let it finish.
If your computer has been restored go to device manager and check to see if your wireless drivers are installed. Right click on My Computer > Manage > click on Device Manager > Network Adapters If the drivers are installed you should not see any, ! or ? |

Re: Rebooted laptop now NO WIRELESS CONNECTION AT ALL
yes i know its bad to shut off the computer but i didn't know what to do, the sysprep is working icon...just sat on my desktop forever...okay just to clarify when i inserted the recovery CD it went through the whole process until this bluish greenish screen comes up that says: FINAL CONFIGURATION, PLEASE WAIT...COMPUTER WILL AUTOMATICALLY REBOOT WHEN THIS IS FINISH (something along those lines)
then after a few minutes the screen disappears and this time capsule icon just keeps turning on my screen which says: SYSPREP IS WORKING... what does that mean, is it necessary is it part of the recovery process, by shutting down my computer while sysprep is working icon is still on my screen be a potential cause to my no wireless connection... sorry for all the questions, thankyou. |
