Mtu / mstsc
I've just had our company's network dumped in my lap, and among other things have been trying to diagnose MSTSC disconnect problems from some of our locations. After doing some research, I discovered the 'black-hole' router problem (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314825), and have been working down that path.
Thing is, even on our local LAN at the corporate office, I'm only able to send a packet 1272 bytes in length without fragmenting, so I have an MTU of 1300 bytes. Is something wrong here? I'm not much of a LAN guy, but I'm expecting to see and MTU of 1500 on our LAN... |
