Hi , I'm still on a bit of a learning curve and I wish to create a home network.
With my current hardware below. -Compaq 6720s lap top with WiFi -Lacie 1Tb (usb) external hard drive -Canon MP520 printer. (Which has the capacity to insert a Blue-tooth Unit BU-20* into the direct print port.) And I am thinking of buying a Linksy's WRT310N Wireless-N Gigabit Router. My question is what other hardware is required to setup a safe wireless network ? I wish to be able to have fully functional wireless access – to both the the printer and external hard drive. And I don't have a PC as a base station . Is there a wireless server etc – that I can connect them to the network with ? I could be wrong but most modem/routers don't seem to have the capability to simply do this job on there own! Any help would be very much appreciated
