My network woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
And it suddenly stopped working. Cleary Mars is in Retrograde. Or is that Mercury? What IS retrograde?
There are 3 computers - 2 Dell desktops running XP and 1 HP laptop running vista. There is a central computer, mine, the meanest, oldest mother of all overtaxed XP computers, which connects to the 2WIRE router. All three Printers, 2 HP laserjets - 1320 - and a Kyocera Mita all are connected to my computer/ the 2Wire router via ethernet. Nothing physical has changed in the last 48 hours since it worked perfectly. Nothing is unplugged Restart doesn't help The networking wizard was about as talented as Neville Longbottom. Nothing Pings. I ran through the printer trouble shooter, the networking trouble shooter, the hardware trouble shooter, very nearly became a mother-of-all-clonky-old-equipment shooter... Any suggestions? |
