major wifi issue!

Okay, now and again my laptop diconnects from the router, every 20minutes.

I also cannot re-connect it manually. It re-connects auto after 1-2mins.

I am on a Dell 1721

I got told it could be one of my services on this laptop that causes interruptions

Top suspect is multiple wireless clients running; they will conflict, and one of the troubles they can cause is what you are reporting. Candidates include

XP's Wireless Zero Configuration (WZC);
Dell WLAN;
one named for your wireless adapter (e.g., Intel Proset).

The first two run as services--check their status in Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Services.
